Allen R. "Ben" Cochran, 82, of Titusville, passed away on April 21, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Ben was born in Centerville, on October 29, 1942, a son of the late Russell "Pete" Cochran and Florence Tulloch Cochran Reynders. He married Beverly R. Prody on May 15, 1963, in Titusville. She preceded him in death on August 21, 2013.
Ben attended Titusville Area Schools. He served in the United States Navy, on the USS Northampton from 1960 to 1963, and the USS Steinaker from 1963 to 1967, they traveled all over the European region.
Upon his return home, Ben was employed at General Electric for 30 years as a pipe fitter.
He was a member of the Titusville Moose Lodge #84, American Legion Post 368, VFW 5958 Bruce Shorts Post, and a former member of the Titusville PNA.
Ben had a love for the outdoors, he always tried to stay active whether it was walking in the woods, bicycle rides, hunting or fishing in his youth. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, work ethic and his love the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns.
Ben is survived by his three children, his son, Jack A. Cochran and wife Vicki of Union City; his two daughters, Patricia "Tish" Cochran Davis of Pleasantville, Trina Dingle and husband Darrin of Wattsburg; his special lady, Ronda Greer Jackson who he spent the last 10 glorious years of his life sharing; his brother in law, Richard Prody and wife Betty; his sister in law, Carol Wright; his 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ben was preceded in death by his brother James "Jim" Cochran and his sister Nancy Cochran Freites, his two grandchildren Jack Cochran Jr. and Adam Fretzner.
No services will be observed at this time. A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
