Ann M. (Thompson) Burrows

Shoshana M. "Ann" Burrows,83, passed away at her residence on Friday, May 23, 2025.

Ann was born on January 14, 1942, in Titusville to the late Shairl A." Rabbit" and Elizabeth "Betty" M. Kinney Thompson. She married Richard C. "Rick" Burrows on May 10, 1980. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2015.

She was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1959.

Following graduation, Ann relocated to California in search of job opportunities. She worked at Bell Telephone and Universal Studios before dedicating several years to banking.

She was a former social member of the Titusville Moose Lodge.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson.

Ann is survived by her two children, Tanya Vandervort and husband Joe, Joe Elan and wife Nicole both of Titusville; four grandchildren, McKenna Cole and husband Dylan, Katherine Elan, Jack Elan, Maggie Elan; a great-grandson, Deegan Cole; her aunt Arlene Murphy; her sister Jean Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Art Thompson, and two sisters-in-law, Ruby Thompson and Barb Sturgis.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc., 303 N. Washington St., Titusville.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery at a later date.
