Anna Sampson Obituary

Anna C. Sampson, 90, of Titusville, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Southwoods Assisted Living.

Anna was born in Titusville on August 27, 1935, to the late Leon "Pike" and Ruth Landas Covell. She married Ronald L. Sampson on June 13, 1953, at St. Paul's Church in Titusville.

She was a graduate of Colestock High School, Class of 1953.

Anna held various positions as a business administrator, working at McKinney's Chrysler Dodge Dealership, the City of Titusville, Attorney John Kookegy's office, and owned with her husband Montgomery Ward and Titusville Beverage.

She was a member of the Titusville Shrine Club Auxiliary.

Anna was a much-loved grandma who touched everyone she met with her warmth and kindness. She loved spending summers outdoors with her grandchildren, visiting amusement parks, taking motorcycle trips with her husband, Ron, and rooting for her favorite football team, the Steelers.

She is survived by her sons, Raymond Scott Sampson and wife Penny of Perry Hall, MD, Mark Sampson of Titusville, R. Jeff Sampson and wife Shelly of Meadville, and Douglas Sampson and wife Tonimarie of Titusville; grandchildren, Cara Schwiezer and husband Chris, Ryan Sampson and companion Kate, Tyler Sampson, Matthew Sampson, Cody Sampson, Mallory Shreffler and husband Adam, Corbin Sampson and companion Ashwini, Lauren Sampson and companion Alexa, Abrianna See and husband Tyler, Elijah Sampson, and Josie Sampson; thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother Gene Covell of Warren; several nieces and nephews; and her extended Weldon family.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her grandson Mark J. "Marky" Sampson; and a brother, Arthur Covell.

Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc., 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, on Sunday, September 21st, from 2 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. with Jaqueline Wagner, officiating.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville.

Memorial contributions can be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital 1645 W 8th St, Erie, PA 16505.

The family would like to thank the staff at Southwoods Assisted Living Community for the caring and dedicated support they provided to Anna over the past two years.
