Betty J Rogers

Betty J. Rogers, 97, of Cooperstown, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

Betty was born on December 15, 1927, in Cherrytree Twp., to the late Jesse and Orletta Feely Karns. She married Thomas P. "June" Rogers at Diamond on October 27, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1979.

Betty was a graduate of Oil City High School.

She was a patient caretaker at Polk State Center for over 20 years.

Betty enjoyed trips to the casino, playing bingo, gardening, yard work, and being with her family.
She is survived by two nieces, Sally Rodgers of Cooperstown and Olive Neely of Titusville; a nephew, Rick Neely and fiancé Carla Tisi of Titusville; four great-nephews, Timothy A. Rodgers of Titusville, Trent Rodgers and wife Melanie of Seneca, Kenny J. Neely of Titusville, and Kasey J. Neely and wife Jill of Titusville; and several great-great nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth K. Karns; a sister, Eleanor "Sis" Neely; two nephews, Kenneth G. Neely and Joseph M. Neely, Jr.; and a great-nephew, Joseph M. Neely.

Services will be private to the family.

Interment will be at Cherrytree Cemetery.
