Carl H. "Chip" Drake, Jr., 62, of Titusville, passed away Friday evening April 3, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie surrounded by his family.
Chip was born on July 30, 1963 in Titusville, a son of Kaby Caldwell Drake and Kirt Drake. He was married to Carole Wilson on April 16, 1994 in Titusville.
Chip was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1981. He earned an associate degree from Edinboro University in 2008, and his bachelor's degree in Industrial and Engineering Administration from there in 2016, summa cum laude.
Chip was employed as a design engineer for Corry Manufacturing. He had previously been employed at Joy Manufacturing in Franklin Conair in Franklin, Wright's Tool and Die in Cochranton and at Holbrook Tool in Meadville.
Chip was a member of the Titusville First Methodist Church. He enjoyed target shooting, collecting coins, tinkering in the garage, astronomy and star gazing, eating popsicles with his granddaughter Felicity, and spending time with all his family.
Chip is survived by his wife Carole; his parents, Kirt and Kaby Drake; two sons, Jared Drake of Titusville and Nicholas Drake and wife Abby of Meadville; granddaughters, Felicity and Harper; sisters, Cheri Clingerman of Titusville and Cristy Anderson and husband Bill of Utica; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Drake.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Wednesday, April 8th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Further visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9th from 10 AM to 11AM at the Titusville First Methodist Church 302 W. Walnut St. Titusville, PA. The funeral service will be conducted there at 11 AM with Rev. Drew Myers, pastor, and Rev. Jerome Alsdorf, officiating.
Interment will be in Jamison Corners Cemetery.
