Carol G. Hughes, 80, of Titusville, passed away Saturday morning May 18, 2024 at the Titusville Area Hospital following an extended illness.
Carol was born on December 7, 1943 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Edward and Josephine Hoepfl Graff. She was married to Allan R. Hughes on August 11, 1973 in Titusville.
Carol was a graduate of Colestock High School, class of 1962.
Over the years, she had been employed at the former W. T. Grant Co. in Titusville as manager of the lunch counter; a cook at the Titusville Pizza Hut; and had cleaned for several years at both the First Presbyterian Church and at the Cyclops Federal Credit Union.
Carol was a member of the Titusville First Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed gardening, shopping for the kids, cooking and loved her pet dog “Josie”. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, as well as with her brother Eddie.
Carol is survived by her husband Allan Hughes of Titusville; a daughter, Jennie Warner and husband Terry of Titusville; grandchildren, Aiden and Karisa Warner; a sister-in-law, Susan Graff of Titusville; and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward “Eddie” Graff; a sister-in-law, Helene Hughes; and a brother-in-law, Bill Hughes.
No public services will be held. A private service will be conducted for family.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family asks that memorials may be made to any local chapter of the Humane Society or to the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Center 100 Barber Place Erie, PA 16507.
