Carol I. Saxton, 83, of Titusville, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Carol was born on December 24,1941 in Cochranton to the late Ralph E. and Geraldine A. Snodgrass Dailey. She married James N. Saxton on October 3, 1959, in Townville.
She was a graduate of Townville High School, Class of 1959. Carol was a nurse’s aide and worked at Meadville Hospital for 5 years and Titusville Hospital for 20 years. She also worked for her son at Allstate Insurance in Titusville and also at the Titusville YMCA for 6 years.
Carol enjoyed crocheting and cooking, being on Facebook, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her husband over the years to New England, California and Florida.
Carol is survived by her husband Jim of Titusville; two sons, James R. Saxton of Townville, Keith A. Saxton and wife Carolyn of Lovettsville, VA; three grandchildren, Amanda Saxton Wall of Aurora, CO, Jackie Washington and husband Chris of Alexandria, VA, and Zach Saxton of Harper's Ferry, WV; five great grandchildren, Joseph, Caleb and Lillian Wall, and Kennedie and Madison Washington; brothers, Gary Dailey of Guys Mills, James Daily and wife Terri of Townville, and Larry Dailey and wife Kim of Meadville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Janet Steadman and Lois Hummer; and three brothers, Ronald, Donald, and Richard Dailey.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Wednesday, September 10th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Shawn Johnson of the Breedtown Baptist Church officiating.
Private interment will be in Kingsley Cemetery in Townville.
