Carol Ann Sterling, 75, of Titusville unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, while on a cruise in Nova Scotia.
Carol was born on November 17, 1947, in Wheeling, WV to the late George and Irene (Smith) Walbrown. She married David L. Sterling on November 15, 1980, in Akron, OH.
She was a 1967 graduate of Avella High School.
Carol received a beautician's license from the Venango Technology Center in Oil City, and was self-employed as a hair stylist until 2017.
She was formerly employed at Sam's Restaurant and the Titusville Caboose Motel from which she retired.
Carol was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Titusville and a former member of the Apostolic Temple of Akron, OH. She centered her life around serving God and was involved in church activities and gift exchanges. Her favorite item to give was blankets that she had crocheted by hand.
She loved people and was a friend to everyone. She showed deep care of her family, never missing a holiday or birthday celebration. She also enjoyed making dinners for holidays and was well known for her peanut butter fudge.
Carol is survived by her husband, David L. Sterling of Titusville; two children, David J. Sterling of Titusville, and Esther Beach and husband Jacob of Tionesta; three grandchildren, Ethan, Lily, and Wyatt Beach of Tionesta; one brother, Walter Walbrown and wife Deana of Cincinnati, OH; five sisters, Kathryn "Kathy" Loretta Sorice and husband Michael of Washington, PA, Laura Ashmore and husband Jim of Avella, PA, Grace Baldwin of Killeen, TX, Janet Ward of Canonsburg, PA, and Rose Marie Sochor and husband Randy of Taylorstown, PA.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Monday, October 23 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be at the First Pentecostal Church 564 Park Ave., Titusville, PA 16354 on Tuesday, October 24 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jonathan Coffey, officiating.
Interment will be in Troy Center Cemetery.
