Catherine L. Lawing

Catherine L. Lawing, 39, formerly of Titusville, passed away Thursday January 23, 2025 at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh.

Catherine was born on December 23, 1985 at Ft. Walton Beach, FL, a daughter of Linda Burrows and the late Wayne G. Armstrong, Jr.

Catherine is survived by her mother of Virginia; a son, Timothy Hanson III of Saxton, PA; her adoptive mother, Cathy Anthony Tharp of Titusville; a sister, Tiffany Allen and husband Mike of Titusville; aunts and uncles, Mike and Thelma Burrows of Spartansburg, Karen and Wayne Thomas of Illinois; an aunt, Lillian Anthony of Titusville; and her former husband, Timothy Hanson, Jr. of Saxton, PA.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chad Norris; her husband, John Lawing; and her maternal grandfather, Earl Tharp.

Catherine loved her pets as well as all animals. She enjoyed the outdoors and camping. She loved being with family and friends. She had formerly been active in 4H Club showing horses.

No public visitation will be held. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Private interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery near her brother and grandparents.
