Charlotte H. Hoban of Titusville was called home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Charlotte was 87 years old, born July 1, 1937, in Eldred Township, Warren County, the daughter of the late Gerald M. Hebets and Mazie Ongley Hebets. Charlotte was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas J. Hoban, who went home first just two weeks before to prepare their heavenly home for her arrival. Tom and Charlotte were married on February 2, 1957, and in the 68 years of wedded bliss they never spent more than two weeks apart, as in life so in death, true soul mates then, now, and forever.
Charlotte loved helping people and taking charge to make things better for everyone around her. She was an avid bowler, bowling on leagues for over 30 years, serving as captain of many teams, and was the president of the Women's Bowling League for many years.
Charlotte was the president of the resident council of Central Towers for over 20 years and served on the Titusville Housing Board during that same time. Charlotte was solely responsible for getting a special grant for Central Towers to install a new kitchen where she proudly served hot meals for the residents, coordinating many functions for the residents, and made sure she cooked every holiday for residents who were not able to be with their family. All of this was done on a volunteer basis and she was recognized by Crawford County as a volunteer of the year a few years in a row, receiving several awards.
Charlotte loved the outdoors, playing softball, and fishing with her love, Tom. She loved her family and was happiest spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by her siblings: Melvin Hebets, Roland Hebets, Dennis Hebets, and Patricia Erickson.
Charlotte is survived by her siblings, Phyllis Weidner and Glenn Hebets; her six daughters, Sue Hoban, Beverly Carpenter, Shirley Tenney, Joyce Roberts and husband Robin, Barbara Kelly, and Jill Flinspach; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pursuant to her wishes, no services will be observed. Her only request is that if you knew her and Tom, please remember the good times, the laughter, and the love.
