Craig Snyder Obituary

Craig E. Snyder, 66, of Spartansburg, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 11, 2025, at his residence.

Craig was born on October 7, 1958, in Titusville, a son of Rulin "Jeff" and Pauline Southwick Snyder.

He was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1976.

He was employed as a logger for Firth Maple Products, for many years. He started his logging career directly after high school working with his father. He truly enjoyed his work and became a chainsaw safety instructor for Soren Eriksson, and was the Game of Logging Champion in 2005.

Craig had a love for wildlife, he enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, and having animal photography adventures with his companion Nancy. He enjoyed playing pool and watching dirt track racing. Most of all he enjoyed his Saturday nights, where he and his family would have dinner at Ashley's Pub in Spartansburg.

Craig is survived by his father, Rulin "Jeff" Snyder of Titusville; his companion Nancy Hunt of Pleasantville; his son, Jeremy Snyder and wife Melissa of Austin, TX, his daughter, Jennifer Loren and husband Josh of Landenberg, PA; his children adopted later in life, Julieanne Snyder of Titusville, Laura Gilson and husband Kody of Hydetown, and MacKenzie Tatters of Meadville; his grandchildren, Owen, Hazel and Harris Snyder, Isabella Loren and Harley Gilson; his brothers, Kevin Snyder and wife Tammi of Pleasantville, Jeffrey Snyder of Titusville; his sisters, Evelyn Kerr and husband Rusty of Titusville, Waive Crose and husband Vince of Centerville; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Southwick Snyder on August 27, 2018.

Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc., 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until noon, where a funeral service will follow, with pastor Jerome Alsdorf officiating.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery.
