David M. Baker, Sr., 86, of Titusville, passed away Wednesday evening June 3, 2026 surrounded by his family at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Dave was born on July 13, 1939 in Titusville, PA, a son of the late Ferris and Burdetta Irwin Baker. He was married to Betsy Myers on May 23, 1964 in Pleasantville. She preceded him in death on November 18, 2012.
Dave had attended the Titusville schools.
He had been employed with PennDOT for over 35 years from where he retired. He had also worked in maintenance for Rick Shrout at the Titusville Downtown Mall.
Dave and Betsy enjoyed going to flea markets, camping, and going to Atlantic City to the casinos. He was a tinkerer and enjoyed working in his woodshop and working on cars. He also enjoyed watching his son Sonny race.
Dave is survived by his children, David "Sonny" Baker of Titusville and Jodi Greer of Centerville; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a sister, Frances "Sarah" Chappel of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Dave was preceded in death by a great grandson, Gabriel; brothers, Robert, Ray and Bruce Baker; sisters, Phyllis Dunn, Marge Flick and infant Charlene Baker.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA on Monday, June 8th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Bill Hopkins officiating.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
