David M. Kope, 72, of Titusville, passed away Thursday evening May 16, 2024 at Oakwood Heights Village in Oil City, PA.
Dave was born on May 23, 1951 in Oil City, a son of the late Paul and Georgia Archer Kope. He was married to Darlene Rennich on August 24, 1977 in Franklin, PA.
Dave was a veteran having served in the US Air Force. He was honorably discharged on July 12, 1979 at March AFB in California with the rank of sergeant.
Dave had been employed at Quality Markets, Bi-Lo, and Publix while living in Florida.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He enjoyed most spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Dave is survived by his wife Darlene of Titusville; two daughters, Geornell Oney and husband Robert, and Lorey Barger, all of Titusville; two grandchildren, Lyndzie Oney and Kylie Oney; three great grandchildren, Ramsey Oney, Lillith Bola and Charles Oney; two sisters, Sandy Walters of Tennessee and Paula Willmeth of Oil City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Kope; and three sisters, Mary Jane May, Shirley Madonia and Peggy Roup.
No public visitation will be held. A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at a later date.
