David E. Rodgers, 66, of Titusville passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon November 24, 2023.
David was born on October 29, 1957, in Titusville, a son of the late Charles "Chuck" and Dorothy (Stevenson) Rodgers.
He has been happily married to Billie Jo Sellen Rodgers since May 29, 1993, who survives him.
David was a graduate of Titusville High School class of 1976.
He was employed for 35 years at Keystone Honing/ Precision Profile until his forced retirement at the age of 65. He was most recently employed working with Amish friends doing carpentry work. His younger years were spent working with friends in the oil fields.
David was an active member of the VFW, American Legion and past governor of the Moose Lodge.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, Steven (Shauna) Rodgers of Hermitage, Kevin (Tammy) Rodgers of Centerville, Angela (Joe) Kelly of Sarver, Cody Rodgers and companion Brittan of Titusville, and Taylor (Trevor) Rodgers-Miller of Pittsburgh; 4 grandchildren, Jayden Rodgers, Logan Rodgers, Darren Middleton, and Chase Kelly; 2 brothers, Dan Rodgers and companion Miriam of Titusville, and Ron (Debbi) Rodgers of Ocala Florida; a sister, Dianne (Dale) Mallory of Cherrytree; mother-in-law, Linda Sellen; 3 sisters-in-law, Bobbie Jo (Norm) Roberts of Titusville, Ronnie (Jack) Rose of Centerville, and Terrie Sellen of Jacksonville Florida; several nieces and nephews; Best Friend, Rick Repasky of Pleasantville. Not to be forgotten his side kick and couch partner Marley, his beloved English Bulldog.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his father-in-law Ronald R. Sellen.
Honoring David's wishes there will be no public services.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Tuesday, November 28 at 4:00 PM at the Titusville VFW Post 5958, 206 St. John Street.
