David K. Stearns, 76, of Hydetown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Dave was born in Titusville on October 3, 1949, to the late Kenneth and Alice Ensle Stearns. He married Brenda Blood on January 23, 1971 in Titusville.
He was a graduate of Titusville High School Class of 1967. He was veteran having served in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict.
Dave worked at Farley’s Industrial Laundry (ITU) for many years until his retirement. He had also been employed in his earlier years at Hasbrouck Sand and Gravel and with Quaker State Corp.
He was a member of the Elder Statesman Golf League at Green Acres; the B.P.O. Elks No. 264; the Titusville Moose Club; and of the Cleo J. Ross Post 368 American Legion.
Dave enjoyed golfing and hunting. He was an avid wrestling fan. He enjoyed most spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Brenda of Hydetown; three children, Ken Stearns and wife Kelly of Titusville, Joel Stearns and companion Stephanie Roberts of Grove City, and Jessica Fenyo and husband Daniel of Titusville; grandchildren, Nate and Ian Stearns, Haley, Hannah and Kaitlyn Kinney; great grandchildren, Samiya and Elijah Ruiz; his mother-in-law, Thelma Blood of Titusville; his sister, Nancy Burns and husband Ed of Pleasantville; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Hopkins and husband Ron of Greensburg and Beverly Butterworth Blood and husband Dan of Pascoag, RI; a brother-in-law, William S. Blood, Jr. and wife Michelle of West Lake, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles A. “Bud” Roggenkamp; a grandson, Dylan T. Stearns; and his father-in-law, William S. Blood.
Private services will be conducted for the family.
