Davina Carlson Obituary
Davina C. "Dee" Carlson, 89, of Titusville, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Country Acres Personal Care Home.
Dee was born on August 21, 1933, in Titusville to the late Ralph and Thelma Wheeler Childs. She married H. Donald Carlson who preceded her in death on April 19, 1982.
She was a graduate of Colestock High School, Class of 1951.
Dee worked for 37 ½ years at Universal Cyclops Specialty Steel Corp. as a secretary and sales rep until her retirement in 1994. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the YWCA, and the Titusville Area Hospital Auxiliary.
She was a member of the Titusville First United Methodist Church.
Dee is survived by her son-in-law Ricky Reed of Titusville; a granddaughter Jori Reed and fiancé Evan McFarland of Highland Falls, NY; a great grandson, Zachariah McFarland of Highland Falls, NY; a sister Marilyn Edwards of Titusville; a brother Arden Childs of Titusville; a sister-in-law of Louise Childs of Chicora; and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah L. Reed; a grandson Jeremy Reed; and two brothers, Harold, and Kenneth Childs.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Titusville First United Methodist Church 302 W. Walnut St. Titusville, from 1 to 2 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Jeff Childs, officiating.
Inurnment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
