Dixie Edwards Obituary
Dixie Lee Edwards, 86, of Titusville, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Dixie was born on March 27, 1938, in Titusville to the late George W. and Bertha J. Eakin Stephens. She married Robert L. "Bob" Edwards in Titusville on October 28, 1955. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2008.
Dixie worked as a cook at the Country Table Restaurant for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Titusville Church of the Nazarene.
Dixie was a talented cook who relished being at home, caring for her flower garden. She loved her family and the moments she spent with them.
Dixie is survived by her two children, Rhonda Carr of Akron, OH, and Robert "Bud" Edwards and wife Jen of Titusville; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Edwards of Titusville; 10 grandchildren, Amanda Whitman, Adam Edwards, Justin Edwards, Darcy Bell, Kurtis Edwards, Kelci Rayl, Michelle Edwards, Matthew Edwards, Kehla Norris, and Hannah Edwards; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Willis "Butch" Stephens and wife Sue of Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Randy and Guy Edwards; a daughter, Debra Smith; sons-in-law, Don Carr and Mark Smith; daughter-in-law, Vicki Edwards; 3 great-grandchildren; five brothers: Daryl Stephens, L. Raymond Holtz, George W. Holtz, George E. "Bud" Stephens, and Clifford W. Stephens and four sisters: Alberta F. Ricke, L. Elaine Davenport, Lena M. Sult and Henrietta Williams.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 24th from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Hydetown Vol. Fire Dept.
Interment will be at Riceville Cemetery.
