Don A. Slagle, Sr., 91, of Titusville, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Don was born in Kittanning on June 7, 1933, to the late Homer S. and Lillian Robertson Slagle. He married Suzanne Cartney on January 12, 1952, in NY. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2024.
Don attended Titusville schools.
He worked at Quality Markets for 35 years and retired as District Manager.
Don was a member of St. Walburga Church.
Don was an enthusiastic golfer and a member of the Elder Statesman League at Green Acres. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and washing windows around his house. He always had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his children, Bob Slagle and wife Jean of Frewsburg, NY, Sue Edwards and husband Ken of Grand Valley, Ruth Slagle of Wingate, NC, and Don Slagle, Jr. and wife Beth of Waxahachie, TX; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and John Slagle; a daughter-in-law Kathy Slagle; a grandson, Matthew Slagle; a sister Doris Foltz; and a brother Barry Slagle; and his beloved beagle dog, Sniffers.
The family will receive friends at St. Titus Church, 513 W. Main St. Titusville, on Thursday, August 29th from 10 to 11 a.m. at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted with Fr. Interment will be at St. Catharines Cemetery.
