Donald W. Peterson, 84, of Titusville, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Oil City Healthcare and Rehab Center following an extended illness.
Don was born in Titusville on March 5, 1940, to the late David E. and Lenora "Martha" Cornell Peterson. He married Carol Mae Brady on April 28, 1962, in Pleasantville. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2013.
He was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1958.
Don worked as a machinist for Allied Roll Builders for 23 years and then for Vertical Seal for 17 years until his retirement.
He was a Green Acres Elder Statesmen Golf League member and a social member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW.
Don enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing, and playing cards.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly Burns and husband Matt of Hydetown, and Vickie Hoffman and husband Rick of Hydetown; three grandchildren, Kayla Waychoff and husband Matthew, Keith Burns and companion Jenna O'Brien, and Christopher Hoffman and companion Stephaney Wright; four great-grandchildren, Logan Waychoff, Charlotte Burns, and Brady and Rowan Hoffman; and several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by two brothers, John J. and Robert E. Peterson; and two sisters, Shirley Eisenhuth and Sandy Donner.
No services are being observed at this time.
Inurnment will be at Neiltown Cemetery.
