Dorothy L. Kunz, 88, of Centerville, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Dorothy was born on July 7, 1936, in Titusville, the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Curry Proper. She married Merlin F. Kunz on February 20, 1954, in Titusville. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2017.
She was a graduate of Titusville High School.
Dorothy was a homemaker and worked at the former Health Mart in Titusville.
Dorothy was a member of the Rome Twp. Ladies Aid, and a Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW social member.
She enjoyed watching TV programs, making ceramics, crocheting, reading, and having company at her house. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Ronda DeLaO and husband Joe of Titusville, and Brenda Marvin and husband Jack of Centerville; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Snyder and husband A.J., Robby DeLaO and wife Laura, Samantha Kunz Beichner and husband Chris, Jill Kunz Urey and husband Charlie, Justin Kunz and partner Andrew Inks, Tina Marvin, Nick Marvin, Amanda Marvin, and Stacey Marvin Marner and husband Nathan; great-grandchildren, David Jones, Austin and Crystal Sonne, Hunter, Dominick, and Savannah Snyder, Buddy and Amelia DeLaO, Adam Urey, Lilly, Gavin and Collin Wakefield, Daxston, Lara, Gabby Bown, Caleb Marvin, Jacob Renninger, Doug Marner, Maddalyn, Lauren, Thomas, and Ruby Beichner; three great-great-granddaughters, Dixie, Paxtynn, and Harpor; close friends, Dick and Ann Fox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Steve Kunz; five brothers, Raymond, Clarence, Clair, William, and Richard Proper; and three sisters, Lillian Meehan, Irene Greenawalt, and Betty Prather.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be conducted.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery.
