Eleanor Haines Hopkins, 87, of Titusville, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at her residence,
She was born on March 7, 1936, in Diamond to the late James and Emma Morse Haines. She married Carl C. Hopkins on November 12, 1955. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2015.
Eleanor was a graduate of Meadville High School, Class of 1955.
She worked at the W.T. Grant Store in Titusville, Wintronics in Meadville, and Meadville Medical Center where she retired from.
Eleanor was an active member of the Chapmanville Community Church and previously volunteered with the Titusville Hospital Auxiliary.
She enjoyed reading, walking, the warmth of the sun outdoors and most especially, spending time with family.
Eleanor is survived by two daughters, Peggy Jacquel and her husband David of North East; and Janice Harris and her husband Vincent of Aurora, OH; two sons, Ronald Hopkins and his wife Charlene of Titusville; and Donald Hopkins and his wife Wanda, of Meadville; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Mullen, Shanel Potts, Jessica Weber, Jenny Barrett, April Boyden, Amy Rupert, Mary Parkhill; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson; a sister Martha Hopkins and husband Bob of Meadville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Peter Jacquel; and nine brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapmanville Community Church with Pastor Glen Van Cise, officiating.
Interment will be at Chapmanville Cemetery.
