Elizabeth Cochran Obituary

Elizabeth Fiske Cochran, age 72, left this world to be with our Lord on August 5, 2024 after an extended battle with cancer.

She was born in Titusville, PA in 1952 to Philip H. and Esther Y. Cochran. Elizabeth was a 1970 graduate of Grier Preparatory School of Pennsylvania and later served as a board member there. She subsequently went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master's of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Roosevelt University in Chicago.

Elizabeth was an extraordinary woman as a single parent to two adopted daughters, an accomplished musician and teacher, a devoted church-goer, and a true servant of God. She had a passion for traveling, but more important was the distance and time she took to travel to spend time with her friends and family, especially her seven beloved nieces and nephews. Aunt Lizzy always arrived with games, crafts, simple gifts and ideas that kept everyone entertained. The family always looked forward to any visit from their aunt, as she had the ability to create fun and fond memories, never to be forgotten.

Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters, Grace Cochran and Mae Cochran (Husband, Corbin Seezox), her brothers, Craig and Wilbert Cochran and their spouses, Irma Cochran and Judith Cochran, 7 nieces and nephews and their children. She was a giver in many ways and long-time, loyal friend to many.

While living in Hudson, Ohio for many years, she made frequent visits to Titusville with her girls, as she had a genuine love for the area and its rich history.

A celebration of life will take place at the Gordon B. Garret Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. with a reception following at the Ida Tarbell Home, 324 E Main St. Titusville, PA.

Interment will be at Zion Union Cemetery in Emlenton, Pa following the reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
