Ellen M. Cleland, 81, of Titusville, passed away Wednesday morning January 29, 2025 at Wesbury United Methodist Community following an extended illness.
Ellen was born on December 15, 1943 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Theodore J. Goodwill and Betty Jean Goodwill.
Ellen was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1960.
She was a member of the former Acacia Chapter No. 30 O.E.S. and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the ladies league at Lin Van Lanes. Ellen was an avid animal lover having rescued many dogs and cats. She enjoyed thrift shopping and yard sales, but enjoyed most spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ellen is survived by her children, Theodore “Ted” Popieski and wife Kelly of Titusville, Betty Reynolds of Townville, Frederick A. Cleland, Jr. and wife Erin of Titusville, and Tina Cleland of Titusville; grandchildren, Scott and Daniel Burdick, Bethany Southwick, Kayla Hosick, Kimberly Caldwell, Emily Simons, and Cameron and Mallory Cleland; numerous great grandchildren; three sisters, Christine Titus, Cindy Tarleton, and Sue Hazen and husband Carl, all of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by a son Randy Popieski; and two brothers, Daniel and Samuel Goodwill.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Private interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.
