Eric P. Randall, 64, of Titusville, PA, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 11, 2024 at his home.
Eric was born on February 14, 1959 in Willimantic, CT, a son of Charlotte Ericsson Randall and the late Jonathan Randall. He married Luciana Clark on April 4, 1987, at St Titus Church.
Eric was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1977. He was also a graduate of the University of Toronto where he earned his bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies as well as Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he earned his master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning. Additionally, he was a Fulbright Scholar at Bosporus University in Istanbul, Turkey.
Eric had a career in Urban Planning, working for over twenty-five years as a Geographic Information Systems Administrator for the County of Erie.
Eric was a veteran, having served in the US Coast Guard for four years where he was stationed in Presque Isle and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Eric was a man of many interests and he often pursued them to mastery. Whether he was tending to his garden, cooking with his wife in the kitchen, or researching world history, philosophy, and art, he found great joy in dedicating time to his passions. Eric may best be remembered as a man of quick wit and excellent humor who enjoyed traveling, photography, collecting fountain pens, and spending time with his family. He was also an avid computer hobbyist with a particular passion for older Unix systems. In his younger days, Eric could be found surrounded by computers, working diligently on personal projects and home builds.
Eric is survived by his mother, Charlotte Randall of Titusville; his wife Luciana; children, Giovanna Hughes of Pittsburgh, PA, Peter Randall and companion Natalie Dodd of Titusville, PA, and Claudia Randall and companion Benjamin Underhill of Missoula, MT; a grandson, Wylie Underhill; two brothers, Luke Randall and wife Karen of Titusville and Karl Randall and wife Karin of Geneva, Switzerland; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Eric Hughes.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Saturday, January 20th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at which time the funeral service will be conducted.
