Esther Bell Obituary

Esther I. Bell, 86-95, of Titusville, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Esther was born on November 15, 1929, in Corsica, PA, a daughter of the late Grover C. and Ruth Confer McClinsey. She married Donald Bell Sr. on, May 3, 1947, in Oil City, he preceded her in death on August 25, 1970.

She attended Oil City Schools and worked at GTE Sylvania for over 35 years before her retirement. After she retired, she enjoyed volunteering at the Titusvillle Hospital Gift Shop, Hospice Homecare, and the American Red Cross. She helped begin the ladies Auxiliary at the Cherrytree Volunteer Fire Department with her husband.

She was a member of the Hydetown Cornerstone Church.

Esther loved to read, complete jigsaw puzzles, cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers and traveling with her family. She was a proud member of the McDonald's Club where all her friends would gather regularly.

Esther is survived by her children, Nancy Allebach of Titusville, Thomas Bell and wife Mary of Clarion, PA, Michael Bell and wife Carla of Titusville, Robin Sterling and husband Jeff of Titusville; her grandchildren, Daniel Bell and wife Marie, Chris Eddinger and husband Dave, Lora Twichell, Adam Bell and wife Renee, Jason Bell and wife Sarah, Justin Bell; her step grandson, Justin Sterling; 11 great grandchildren; 2 adopted grandsons; and very dear friend, Shirley Beers.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Donald J. Bell Jr., and her siblings, Earl Leadbetter, Doris Watson, Virginia Swartzlander, Kate Dunkle, and Ruby Walters.

Visitation will be held at Hydetown Cornerstone Church, 12749 Main Street, Hydetown, PA 16328, on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, beginning at 3 PM until 6 PM. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Jeff Sterling, officiating.

Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
