Evelyn I. Mallory, 86, of Centerville, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the Meadville Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Evelyn was born on October 31, 1937, in Troy Township, a daughter of the late Gard and Alice Brown Proper. She was one of fifteen children. She married James Mallory Sr. on September 19, 1953, in Troy Center. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2017.
She attended Townville Schools, as well as the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville.
She was a member of Troy Center United Methodist Church.
She formerly worked at the Meadville Care Center, the Presbyterian Home in Titusville and various other nursing homes as a certified nursing aide. She also helped in operating her family's business, Mallory Auto Sales.
Evelyn enjoyed her flower garden, cooking, canning foods, country western music and being surrounded by her family. She loved traveling to casinos, watching NASCAR, and visiting different flea markets with her husband.
Evelyn is survived by her four children; her three daughters, Bonnie Britton and husband Bill, Joyce Mallory and partner Jim Raybuck, and Lori Ward; her son, James Mallory Jr. and partner Danette Gates, all of Troy Township; her 5 grandchildren, Dr. Garrett Britton and wife Amber of Troy Twp., Meghan Purcell and husband Brian of Erie, James Mallory III of Bentonville, AR, Andrew Ward and wife Amber of Townville, and Stephanie Ward of Orlando, FL; her 5 great grandchildren, James Britton, Jackson Britton, William Purcell, Emma Purcell and Colton Ward.
No public visitation will be held.
