Florence I. Bloomfield

Florence Jackman Bloomfield, 93, of Spartansburg, passed away on February 7, 2024 at the Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Florence was born on May 13, 1930 in Corry, a daughter of the late Merle and Doris Carrier Jackman. She married Howard Bloomfield on June 10, 1955 who preceded her in death in 2001.

She was employed at Corry Hospital as a nurse’s aide, and she also worked on the family farm. She was proud of her family and enjoyed being with her great granddaughters.

She is survived by two sons, Norman Bloomfield of Spartansburg, Lynn Bloomfield and wife Cynthia of Centerville; two grandchildren, Levi Bloomfield and wife Sara of Fredrick, Maryland, and Heather Bloomfield of Arundel, Maine; 3 great granddaughters, Avery Bloomfield, Nora Bloomfield and Mia Tyrane; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Buddington Jackman and sister Doris Anna Jackman.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Spartansburg Fire and Ambulance Service.

Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Saturday February 17, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Lucas Johnson officiating.

Interment will be at Riceville Cemetery.
