Frieda B. (Sherretts) Seley

Frieda B. Seley, 94, formerly of Pleasantville, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Frieda was born on January 24, 1929, in Linesville, to the late George D. and Ethel E. Gillette Sherretts. She married Walter E. Seley on May 29, 1949, in Linesville. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2021.

She was a graduate of Linesville High School, Class of 1946, Edinboro State College in 1949 with a degree in education, and later her master's degree from there in 1969

Frieda taught school at Wattsburg High School and later at the Titusville Junior High School, retiring in 1986.

She was a member of the Breedtown Baptist Church, and Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher's Organization.

Frieda is survived by her three children, Marcia (Frank) Yohe of Meadville, Carol (Roger) Turner of Kokomo, IN, and Dwayne (Carol) Seley of Erie, PA. As well as four grandchildren, Christopher (Nicole) Yohe, Amy Atiano, Jessica Yohe and Emily Seley and three great grandchildren Milo, Elöine and Noah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren and Raymond Sherretts; and a sister Arlene Ketcham.

Family and friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and again on Friday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at which time a funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Ward Beers, officiating.

Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
