Gail Bean Obituary

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
— 2 Timothy 4:7

Gail Leroy Bean, 81, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Gail was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, loyal friend, and faithful Christian man who touched countless lives.

Born on March 19, 1945, Gail was the son of the late Seldon T. Bean and Erma Littlefield-Bean. He graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1964 and went on to build a life centered around faith, family, hard work, and service to others.

Gail proudly served his community in his early years as a police officer in Titusville. He later worked at Cytemp Specialty Steel before beginning a long and respected career with the Pennsylvania Game Commission as a land management employee and heavy equipment operator, retiring from full-time employment in 2007. Gail also faithfully served as a Deputy Wildlife Conservation Law Enforcement Officer for the Pennsylvania Game Commission for 25 years, from 1987 until 2012. Even during retirement, Gail continued serving others by working part-time at Advance Auto Parts in Titusville, where he delivered parts to local businesses and enjoyed staying active in the community.

Above all else, Gail deeply loved his family and his Savior, Jesus Christ. He shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Char L. Bean, whom he married on June 14, 1969. Together they built a strong and loving family grounded in Christian faith, loyalty, commitment, and love.

Gail openly shared his faith with family, friends, coworkers, and anyone who crossed his path. He believed strongly in God's promises and lived his life with humility, honesty, compassion, and quiet strength. He believed that salvation comes through Jesus Christ, and his family finds comfort knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

Gail is survived by his loving wife, Char L. Bean; his children Chad Bean, Jason Bean and Darcy Henderson (significant other), Shawn Bean and Melissa Bean (wife), Frank Seidel, Andrea (Frank's wife), and his cherished grandchildren Madilyn, Maverick, Jayden, Emma, Seldon, Braysen, Robin, Nino, Nele, and his beloved dog, Bella.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Bean, grandson, Tyler Bean, and all of his siblings.

Gail loved the outdoors and found great joy in God's creation through nature and wildlife. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, camping, and flying airplanes. Some of his favorite memories were salmon fishing trips in New York with his sons, grandchildren, family and close friends. Gail was incredibly talented with his hands and was always creating, building, or fixing something. One of his proudest accomplishments was building his own personal ultra-light airplane completely from scratch in his basement using blueprints — and then successfully flying it.

Gail will be remembered as a man of honesty, integrity, admirable character, courage, strength, and unwavering commitment to both his family and his faith. He was a man who led by example and demonstrated what it means to live a Christ-centered life. His steady presence, wisdom, servant's heart, and deep love for others will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Galloway Church of Franklin, 196 Seysler Road, Franklin, PA 16323.

The funeral procession will depart from the church at 2:00 p.m. and travel to Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville, PA, where the committal service will take place.

For those unable to attend in person, the funeral service will be live streamed through www.gallowaychurch.org.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, PA 16335.

Though Gail's earthly journey has ended, his family rejoices in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ and that one day that they will one day be reunited again in Heaven.
