Gary F. Griffin, 81, of Centerville, passed away at his residence on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Gary was born in Oil City on April 20, 1944, to the late Robert S. and Kathryn Burt Griffin. He married the former Alva L. Kelly.
He was a graduate of Oil City High School. Gary was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy for over 12 years, retiring with the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
Gary worked as an engineer for Rohr Industries until he retired.
He enjoyed archery, golf, and spending time maintaining his home.
Gary is survived by his wife, Alva of Centerville; two children, Pamela Miller (Rick) of Powell WY, and Michael Griffin (Amy) of Oil City; a son-in-law Robert "Toby" Nagle of East Smethport; two stepchildren, Frank Sojack and wife Tammy and Kelly Montiel; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Mary "Ginger" Mangel of Titusville, and Robert Griffin of Oil City; and several brothers and sister-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle R. Nagle, and a sister, Carol Turk.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc., 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, on Friday, June 27th, from noon to 1 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Bill Hopkins, officiating.
Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
