Gloria J. Baker, 93, of Titusville, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Southwoods Assisted Living Community.
Gloria was born on October 9, 1930, in Titusville to the late Harold and Jeanette Woodman Childs. She married Robert P. Baker on August 31, 1957, in Titusville. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2017.
She was a graduate of Colestock High School, Class of 1948 and attended Grove City College.
Gloria worked as a receptionist at the Titusville Area Hospital for over 20 years.
Gloria was a member of St. James Memorial Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday school, served on the Altar Guild, and volunteered her time to the service of the church.
She enjoyed reading, walking, crossword puzzles, and loved to be with her family.
Gloria is survived by her four children, Shannon Beatty and husband John of Titusville, Jeffrey Baker and wife Tiffany of Evans, GA, Greggory Baker of Fredericksburg, VA, and Janet Long and husband Roy of Titusville; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Covey and husband Brett of Oil City, Kenneth Beatty and wife Jessica, Andrew Beatty both of Titusville, Robert Long and wife Catherine of Grove City, Danielle McLain and husband Patrick of Pinckney, MI, Jeanette Long and fiancé Stephen Craig of Erie, and Angela Baker of Evans, GA; thirteen great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tanner, Carter, Isabella, Karlie, Eleanore, Corey, James, Samuel, Winona, Waverly, Argus, and Loreli; two great -great granddaughters, Hazel and Harper; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Bue.
A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, December 14th at 11 a.m. at St. James Memorial Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
