Grace Canady Obituary
Grace E. Canady, 83, of Titusville, passed away at home unexpectedly on Monday, September 9,
2024.
Grace was born on August 5, 1941, in Buffalo, NY, to the late Charles and Lauretta (Baglio)
Pirro. She married Craven "Sonny" Canady on September 6, 1958, in Buffalo, NY. He preceded
her in death on August 26, 2016.
She worked at Frontier Foundries in Buffalo, NY and was last employed at the University of Pitt
at Titusville in the cafeteria.
She was a member of Titusville First Presbyterian Church, Titusville Lioness Club and Big
Brothers Big Sisters.
Grace enjoyed knitting and reading, playing cards with her church friends, and being with her
family.
She is survived by her five children, Flori Thomann and husband Dale of Schenectady, NY,
Craven Canady, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Tampa, FL, Karen Grace and husband Daniel of Wichita,
KS, Debby MacDougall and husband Lyle, Mark Canady and wife Cyndy all of Buffalo, NY;
nine grandchildren, Dale Thomann Jr., Melinda Schissler and husband Shane, Dylan Canady,
Julia Canady, Emily Cox and husband Damien, Kaitlyn Ohlman and husband Evan, Gabriella
Grace, Andrew Canady, and Justin Canady; four great-grandchildren, Luca, Gianna, Nora, and
Leo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
The family will receive friends at the Titusville First Presbyterian Church, 216 N. Franklin Titusville, on Saturday, September 14th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be conducted with Pastor Vaughan Smith and Tom Newcombe officiating.
