Mrs. Harriet Seyler Booth Burt, 103, a resident of Wesbury Methodist Community passed away on October 22, 2025.
Mrs. Burt was born on August 26, 1922, in Rocky Grove to the late Marvin and Jessie Hilliard Seyler.
She was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School, class of 1940, and Welch’s Business School in Oil City.
Harriet was formerly employed by Joy Manufacturing of Franklin, Keystone Ordinance in Meadville, Republic Steel in Cleveland, OH, and retired after 19 years in 1985, from Allen Bradley Company in Highland Heights, OH.
Harriet married A. Allan Booth in Cleveland in June 1946. She raised her family in Cleveland and worked at Allen Bradley Co until she retired in 1985. Following her husband’s death in 1986, she moved to Titusville, Pennsylvania and married Kenneth G. Burt in September 1989.
She was a member of the former Titusville First United Methodist Church and a former member of Nottingham United Methodist Church in Cleveland, OH, and the Nottingham Chapter #269 O.E.S. for 50 years, and the First United Methodist Church Women’s Society.
Harriet enjoyed doing cross stitch, card parties, games, and travelling.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Foard McCain and husband Charles of Phoenix, AZ; a son, Jeffrey Booth of Cleveland, OH; a granddaughter, Mandi Tomba and husband Nick of Willoughby, OH; nieces-step-daughters Susan McCreary and husband Geoff of Harborcreek, Cheri Cunningham of Akron, OH, Mary Jane Johnson and husband Joseph of Oil City; niece Jane Camenzind; nephews Dr. Thomas (Suzanne) Thomas, Michael Seyler; step-grandchildren Kevin (Jennifer) Norr, Laura (David) McWright, Gregory Cunningham (Dr. Darrin Grelle), Molly Cunningham, Nicole (Jaerdin) Spader, and several great nieces, nephews, and step-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister-in-law Janet Orosz and brother-in-law Richard Burt.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her sisters Marva Burt and Doris Thomas, her brothers Paul Seyler and Melvin Seyler, nephews Steven Seyler and Mark Burt and step-grandson Daniel Drake. Also preceding her in death were her brothers-in-law Dr. Thomas Thomas, Gene Burt, Joseph Orosz, sisters-in-law Evie Seyler, Marge Seyler, Cora Burt, and Janet Burt.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wesbury United Methodist Community who treated Harriet with patience, love, and care throughout her time there, first in independent living and then in skilled nursing.
She was cremated and interred in the Franklin Cemetery in Rocky Grove, where her childhood home can be seen from her resting place.
A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Sam Marchetta at the Barco Chapel in Grace Health Center at Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 Park Ave, Meadville, PA 16335, on Friday November 7 at 11:00 am. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Wesbury Foundation 31 Park Avenue, Meadville, PA 16335 or to the charity of choice.
