Helen Klingler Obituary

Helen M. Klingler, 87, of Titusville, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday afternoon November 26, 2023 at Country Acres Personal Care Home.

Helen was born on July 27, 1936 in Titusville, PA, a daughter of the late Hugh and Helen Decker Hamilton. She was married to Jay D. Klingler on May 18, 1957 at the E.U.B. Church in Titusville. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2023.

Helen was a graduate of Colestock High School.

Helen was formerly employed by Sylvania Electric Corp. in Titusville until she began raising her family.

She had served as a volunteer at the Goodwill Store in Pleasantville. She was a member of the Pleasantville Methodist Church where she served on many committees. She was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group.

Helen’s number one goal in her life was to be a strong woman of faith, a perfect role model, and to be a good servant to her Lord. She was a meticulous homemaker; a doting, playful grandma and great grandma who loved all of them deeply, always room on her lap for one more. She loved old church hymns and toe tapping bluegrass music. She was a “Thrift” shopper who loved to go to flea markets and thrift stores. She loved going to all of the county fairs, enjoyed gardening, and going for country rides on Sunday afternoons.

Helen is survived by two sons, Keith Klingler and wife Elaine of Pleasantville and Neil Klingler and wife Mary of Guys Mills; 7 grandchildren; Miranda Sewell of El Cajon, CA, Shane Klingler of Guys Mills, PA, Andrea Klingler of Clover, SC, Sarah Klingler of Cooperstown, PA, Keri Klingler of Myrtle Beach, SC, Nate Klingler of Guys Mills, PA, and Natalie Klingler of Pittsburgh, PA; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Glen Hamilton of Pleasantville; a sister, Norma McCurry of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Hamilton and a sister, Martha Davis.

Friends may call at the Pleasantville Methodist Church Merrick St. Pleasantville, PA 16341 on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from noon to 2:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Jerome Alsdorf officiating.

Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.

The family asks that memorials be made to the Pleasantville Methodist Church P.O. Box 120 Pleasantville, PA 16341.
