Hellen L. Wescoat

Hellen L. Wescoat, 90, of Titusville, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Blair Hospice House in Warren following an extended illness.

Hellen was born on October 2, 1933 in Titusville, PA, a daughter of the late Louis and Anna Johnson Locke. She was married to Henry L. “Hank” Wescoat on June 28, 1973 in North East, PA. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2019.

Hellen had been employed as a secretary with the Titusville Area School District for 21 years from where she retired.

She was a member of the former Emanuel Luther Church in Titusville. She currently had attended the First Church of God in Warren. Hellen had been a volunteer for the Titusville Area Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of the former Acacia Chapter No. 30 O.E.S.

She is survived by the following children; Henry Wescoat of McKean, Dean “Chip” Wescoat and fiancée Becky Ickert of Pittsfield, Robert Bisbee III of Titusville and Stephen Bisbee and wife Kathy of Tampa, FL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Hellen was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wescoat; brothers, Louis D. Locke, Jr., Paul J. Locke and Edward J. Locke; and sisters, Viola Locke, Esther Locke, Evelyn Rowe, Margaret Gustafson, Ann Mayfield, Mary Reagle, Lenora Wescoat and Adeline Hipple.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Saturday from noon to 2:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Bill Hargenrader of the First Church of God in Warren officiating.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
