Herbert L. Prody

   Herbert L. Prody, Sr., 82, of Wattsburg passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Corry Manor.

   Herbert was born on June 29, 1941, in Titusvillle to the late Thomas and Waunita (Hamilton) Prody.

   He attended Titusville Area Schools.

   Herbert was a veteran of the US Navy. He entered the service in 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1964.

   He was employed for 32 years with General Electric in Erie as a machinist.

   Herbert was a member of the Union City Moose, VFW, and American Legion, the Titusville VFW, and American Legion, the Eagles Club in Wattsburg, and Hunt of A Lifetime Foundation in Harborcreek.

   He loved to golf, play mush ball, hunt, go camping, played in several pool leagues, help coach girls slow-pitch softball, and was not only a member of but played for Hunt of A Lifetime softball team.

   Herbert is survived by his children, Cheryl Aul and husband David Jr. of Spartansburg, Herber Prody Jr. of North East, Jason Prody of Wattsburg; stepsons, Clayton Vanderhoof III and wife Melissa of Erie, Donald Vanderhoof of Pleasantville; grandchildren, David Aul III, Lacey Aul, Christina Rhodes and husband Aaron, Megan Prody, Corbin Prody and wife Janelle, Sydney Prody, Cheyenne Prody, Brittany Brummit, Josh Ayers, and Cody Ayers; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Prody and wife Betty of Ridge Manor, FL; a sister, Carol Wright of Hydetown; a brother-in-law, Allen Cochran of Pleasantville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by 3 wives, Helen Vanderhoof Prody, Mary Pyle, Beverly Hart Prody; a son, Alan Prody; a granddaughter, Ashley Aul; 2 brothers, and 6 sisters.

   Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
