Howard Perkins Obituary

Howard J. Perkins, 60, of Corry, passed away from injuries suffered in an auto accident in Sparta township, Crawford County on Friday, July 25, 2025.

Howard was born on June 3, 1965 in Titusville, a son of John V. and Clara Snyder Perkins, who preceded him in death. He was the youngest of their four sons.

He attended Titusville schools and later Youngsville High School, graduating in 1983. After graduating from high school, he went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Penn State University in Erie.

He was employed in the logistics department at Cummins Engine in Lakewood, NY. He was an accomplished golfer and enjoyed hunting small game and whitetail deer. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and softball. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Pirates, Steelers and Nittany Lions. He also had a passion for antique collectible cars, sports, the outdoors, and above all, his family. He will be remembered for always being willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He will be sincerely missed by all.

Surviving are his son, Garrett Perkins of Corry; special friend, Marva Edwards of Erie; his brothers, James Perkins of Greer, SC, Michael Perkins and wife Lisa of Chesapeake, VA, Andrew Perkins and wife Barbara of Travelers Rest, SC; his sisters, Julia Beers of Pleasantville, Mary Terwilliger and husband Charles of Titusville, and Karen Perkins of Greer, SC; his aunts, Eleanora Snyder of Cochranton and Barbara Abraham of Troy, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Monday, August 4th from noon to 2:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Drew Myers of the Titusville First Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
