Isabelle M. (Fleegle) Hook

Isabelle M. Hook, 90, of Titusville, passed away Thursday morning May 9, 2024 at the Titusville Area Hospital.

Isabelle was born on February 19, 1934 in Wimber, PA, a daughter of the late Victor and Margaret Taylor Fleegle. She was married to John Hook on August 3, 1951 in Holsopple, PA. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2005.

Isabelle was a graduate of Shade High School, Somerset County, PA. She had been employed in her earlier years at Anchor Fasteners in Solon, OH for over 10 years and later was devoted to raising her family.

Isabelle was a member of the former Titusville United Methodist Church.

She was a devoted volunteer at the Titusville Toy Shop for many years and in many capacities. She enjoyed her hummingbirds around her home, as well as her flower gardens. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling together.

She is survived by her children; John M. Hook and wife Joyce of Harrisonville, MI, Kathy L. Thomas of Titusville, David A. Hook of Akron, OH, Karen A. Murphy and husband David of Titusville, Elaine M. Crow and Amy Van Dyke and husband Edward, all of Parma Heights, OH; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Penny Arbogast and husband Bob of Rittman, OH; a brother, Thomas Fleegle and wife Fran of Cleveland, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen M. Hook; a grandson, Steven Hook; a granddaughter, Jessica Van Dyke; and three brothers, Victor S. Fleegle, James Fleegle and David Fleegle.

No public visitation will be observed.

Family and friends may attend a celebration of Isabelle’s life on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Cross Creek Resort where lunch will be served. Rsvp by May 20th to i.hookrsvp@gmail.com or contact a family member.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
