Iva "Ivy" Viola Schneider, 93, of Grand Valley passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.
Iva was born on February 11, 1930, in Titusville to the late Howard and Clara (Herman) Carter, Sr. She married Albert "Bing" N. Schneider Sr. on August 1, 1946. Mr. Schneider preceded her in death on April 28, 2010.
She attended Titusville area schools.
Iva worked the soda fountain at Thompson's Drug Store for over 45 years and loved seeing her customers every day.
She was a member of the Moose Club and Grand Valley Vol. Fire Department.
Ivy enjoyed bowling, playing cards, family bon fires, flower gardening, and taking care of her birds. She was very sentimental when it came to receiving gifts from family and friends. She would never discard those items and she never missed sending cards on birthdays.
She is survived by her children, Margaret Reynolds and husband Harold of Hydetown, Albert "Bud" Schneider Jr. and companion Susan Drake of Titusville, David Schneider and wife Barbara of Pleasantville; grandchildren, James Tracy and wife Jeanine of Chippewa, Todd Tracy and wife Evelyn of Titusville, Dennis Reynolds and wife Carol of Kane, Davina Eimer and husband Bob of Guys Mills, Jacob Schneider and wife Julie of Pleasantville, Jennifer Tabbert and husband Aaron of Deadwood, SD, Kristel Schneider of Orlando, FL; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Virginia "Babe" Dow of Hydetown; sisters-in-law, Barbara Schneider of Titusville, Leora Schneider of Poteau, OK; special niece who contacted her every day, Donna Williams of Union City; a close friend and neighbor, Judy Granda of Grand Valley; and several nieces and nephews.
Ivy was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Carter, Jr., and a sister, Janet Parkin.
Visitation will be at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Tuesday May 23rd from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. with the funeral service to follow conducted by Mike Strawbridge.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Pleasantville.
