Janet Carey

Janet R. Carey, 81, of Titusville passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Fairview Manor.

Janet was born on March 1, 1943, in Cleveland, a daughter of the late James and Blanche Tuhela Pedal. She married Carl J. Carey on November 28, 1964. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2008.

She was a graduate of Independence High School, Class of 1961.

She and her husband started Plum Line Holstein Dairy Farm in 1969. She also worked for Quaker State in the print shop, until her retirement in 1999.

Janet enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, and helping around the family farm. She loved spending time with her family and being around her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Michael Carey, Patrick Carey, and Ryan Carey all of Titusville and her daughter Amanda Clark and husband Larry of Cranesville; her grandchildren, Courtney Carey, Patrick J. Carey and wife Brooke, Conner Carey, Brooke Carey, John Carey, and Olivia Carey all of Titusville, Keegan Nick and wife Mandi of Edinboro, Alex Clark and Sydney Clark of Cranesville; her sister, Carol Hawes and husband Bob of Spokane WS; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Rose Sposet, and her stepfather Henry Guise.

No services will be observed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
