Janet L. Crawford, 94, of Titusville, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Southwoods Assisted Living.
Janet was born on June 8, 1930, in Titusville to the late George and Georgia Proper Strawbridge. She married Robert S. Crawford on March 24, 1947, at Diamond. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2003.
She attended Titusville Area Schools.
Janet worked starting in 1970 at the former Spencer Hospital in Meadville for four years and then at Titusville Area Hospital from 1975 to 1983 as a nurses aide.
She attended the former Bradleytown United Methodist Church.
Janet enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and participating in the activities at the Billie Brown Building where she lived from 2007 to 2024.
Janet is survived by her two sons, Thomas M. Crawford and companion Linda Mudger of North Carolina, and Roger B. Crawford and wife Karen of Guys Mills; a daughter, Christine Marks and husband Sam of Conneautville; 6 grandchildren, Steven Crawford and wife Melanie, Scott Crawford and wife Jessica, April Ewig and husband Dan, Robert Crawford and wife Jessica, Sam Marks, and Kim Marks; 8 great grandchildren, Tristan Howells, Breanna Howells, Amelia Howells, Alex Crawford, Kaitlyn Crawford, Chloe Crawford, Jiles Crawford and Jolee Crawford; two step-grandchildren, Jalan and Justice Ewig; a sister Carol McFadde; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lewis, Lester, Kenneth, and George Strawbridge; a foster brother, Marvin Franke, and sisters, Lanetta and Ada; and a close friend Gene Driskill.
No services are being observed at this time.
Inurnment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
