Jimmie L. Smith, 82, passed away on August 13, 2023, at Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, after a period of declining health.
Jimmie was born on November 02, 1940, in Meadville to the late Harry and Francis (Beuchat) Smith. He married Betty Smith on June 8, 1968 in Titusville.
He attended Townville schools.
Jimmie was a self-employed truck driver for K and B Truck Services.
He enjoyed dirt track racing where he owned, raced, and worked on the pit crew for many years. He loved watching his grandson race Go-Karts. Jimmie was an official at Raceway 7 in Ohio for many years.
He is survived by his wife Betty of Centerville; A son, Jesse Smith of Centerville; and grandson Clint Smith.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Francis Smith.
Visitation will be held at Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington Street on Saturday, August 19th, from 11 to 1 p.m.
