Joanne K. Frutiger Fucci of Titusville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Joanne was born on September 19, 1943, a daughter of the late Edwin and Hazel Ehrhart Frutiger. She was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1961.
Joanne was last employed with the Titusville Area School District. She was secretary at Cherrytree Elementary School. She loved that school, the faculty, the students and the parents. After retirement, Joanne faced many health problems. She suffered from eye problems, kidney disfunction, essential tremors and Parkinson’s disease. In spite of these, she always kept her chin up and worried about others and not herself.
Thanks to her loving companion and caregiver, Rich Head, she had a wonderful life. They were together for 42 years. He idolized her as she did him.
She reluctantly leaves her three beautiful children which she was very proud of and she raised on her own; James “Jamie” Fucci and wife Lisa of Lititz, PA, Jayla Phenicie and husband Stephen of Titusville, and Jon Fucci of Alpharetta, GA; her seven grandchildren, Natalie, Mia and Nicholas Fucci, Thomas Phenicie, Maire, Megan and Maiti Fucci; her companion, Richard Head; a sister, Barbara Powers of Meadville; a nephew and two nieces and their children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joanne’s father always told her if she died with one good friend, she would die a rich person. She did. Chris Woodruff, Cheri Warner, Richard and Robert Orner, and many more. She treasured each and every one of them.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Thursday, April 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday April 11th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Robert Orner officiating.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
