John Gale Obituary

John D. Gale, 67, of Titusville, passed away at his residence on June 3, 2026, surrounded by his family.

John was born in Lubbock, Texas on September 26, 1958, a son of the late William C. and Doris Freeman Gale. He married Karen Rogan Gale on May 23, 2011, in Titusville.

He was a graduate of Athens High School in Athens, Michigan, Class of 1977. He excelled at drums in the marching band, played varsity football and wrestled.

John worked as a tool and dye maker for various shops over the years. He was a small business owner of his own tool and dye shop in Michigan. He moved to Pennsylvania and was an instructor in tool and dye EDM at several NW PA trade schools. He was also in real estate and worked for a long period of time with Howard Hanna and ERA Reality. He was offered a salesman job for Global EDM/ Makino, and traveled to three different states to sell products for many years.

John had a love for racecars, he enjoyed racing front end dragsters, watching NASCAR, and tinkering with engines and working on cars. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and being outdoors.

He is survived by his loving wife Karen of Titusville; his sons, William Gale and wife Marissa of Pleasantville, Robert Gale and wife Michele of Corry; his daughter, Melissa Rodgers and husband Ricky of Pleasantville; his grandchildren, Raymond Gale, Kaley Gale, and Karley Gale; his brothers, Raymond Gale and wife Rhonda of Farmdale, OH, Matthew Gale and wife Candy of Seracy, AK; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his stepson, Thomas R. Short.

John believed in God and the Salvation provided by Jesus Christ's life, crucifixion and resurrection and became a professing Christian later in life.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 North Washington Street, Titusville, PA 16354, beginning at 11 AM to 1 PM, with a funeral service to follow.

Interment will be at Venango Cemetery in Cambridge Springs.

The family would like to thank St. Vincent's Hospital doctors and staff, VNA Alliance of Venango County, AseraCare Hospice for their loving care, and Father Dan Hoffman for his compassion.
