John Michael Nosko, 75, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Erie VA Hospital, after an extended illness.
John was born in Pittsburgh on November 16, 1950, to the late Stephen and Mary Eakin Nosko. He married Loretta J. Hough on May 30, 1977, in Goldsboro, NC.
He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, Class of 1968.
John served for twenty years in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Tech Sgt. And was an electronics expert.
He was a member of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Erie, Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW, and American Legion Post #571 in Wesleyville.
He was a former van driver at the Erie VA and for DAV Transportation Network.
John enjoyed photography, reading, being a plane enthusiast, playing video games, working with horses, tinkering with gadgets, and loved his miniature poodle "Marcus".
He is survived by his wife, Loretta of Erie; a sister-in-law, Cynthia Nosko of Pleasantville; nieces, Haley Coletta and husband James of Harborcreek, Katie Nosko of Pleasantville, Molly Prenatt and husband Chris of Pleasantville; great nieces and nephews, Maximo Coletta, Giovanni Coletta, Gabriel Andrako, Atley Andrako, Iris Prenatt.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, William J. Nosko.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc., 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, on Thursday, January 29th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. at St. Titus Church with Fr. Daniel Hoffman, officiating.
Full military rites will be observed.
Interment will be at Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at the Erie VA for the care and dedication they provided to John during his stay.
