Joseph C. Lukasiak, 77, of Titusville, passed away with his daughter by his side on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the Titusville Healthcare and Rehab Center following an extended illness.
Joe was born on March 3, 1949, in Titusville to the late Joseph and Stella Herodzinski Lukasiak.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy, Class of 1967. He attended Robert Morris University.
Joe was a veteran who had served in the National Guard.
He worked at Universal Cyclops Specialty Steel Corp. in the Melt Shop and was the course manager at the Busted Flush for many years.
Joe was a member of St. Walburga Church, the former PNA Club, Ducks Unlimited, and a lifetime member of the Titusville Rod and Gun Club.
Joe loved everything outdoors—hunting, fishing, camping—and was an avid gun collector. Joe was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates, and he cherished his camp, which he called Polish Paradise. He was OCD about maintaining his cars and grass.
He is survived by his daughter, Leigh Lukasiak, and fiancé Justin Herbstritt of Titusville; two granddaughters, Ciya Lukasiak of Titusville and Chelsie Michaela of Pittsburgh; his sister, Louise Szczepkowski of Canandaigua, NY; his long-time companion, Reyn of Hollywood, SC; and several nieces and nephews who referred to him as "Uncle Joey."
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joanne Lukasiak, and Franny Shreve.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
As Joe would say with a drink in the air, "Friends may come, and friends may go, and friends may peter out, you know. But we'll be friends through thick or thin, Peter out or Peter in".
