Karen Gilson

   Karen L. Gilson, 65, of State Hwy 77 Cambridge Springs passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Meadville Medical Center.

   Karen was born on October 22, 1957, in Meadville to Patricia Nottingham Orr Cope and the late Nyal Orr. She married William "Bill" Gilson on October 9, 1976, at the New Richmond United Methodist Church.

   She was a graduate of Maplewood High School.

   Karen worked for 34 years in the dietary department of the Meadville Medical Center.

   She was a life member of the New Richmond United Methodist Church and served as Treasurer for the New Richmond Cemetery.

   Karen loved spending time with her family and friends.

   She is survived by her husband Bill of Cambridge Springs; her mother Patricia of Townville; her children, Andrew Gilson of Cambridge Springs, Hollie Goulish and husband Theron of Punxsutawney, Ben Gilson and wife Vanessa of Spring Grove; grandchildren, Camden Goulish, Kendyl Goulish, Kairi Gilson, Izzy Gilson, Zoe Gilson, Asher Gilson; brother, Howard Orr and wife Cori of Mesa, AZ; sisters, Nyla Snodgrass and husband Tom of Mt. Dora, FL, Heather Tomer and husband Doug of New Richmond; and several nieces and nephews.

   Visitation will be at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Thursday, March 16th from noon to 2 pm with the funeral service to follow conducted by Pastor Harry Zurasky.

   Interment will be in New Richmond Cemetery.
