Karen R. (Shreve) Wakefield

Karen R. Wakefield, 67, of Titusville, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, with her loving family by her side.

Karen was born in Oil City, a daughter of Donald and Norma Spence Shreve. She married Edward Wakefield on May 25, 2013, in Titusville. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2023.

She was a graduate of Oil City High School, Class of 1975.

She worked as the Deli Manager for Bi-Low and Quality food market in Titusville.

She was a member of Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW, Cleo J. Ross American Legion Post 368, Titusville Moose Lodge 84, Titusville Elks Lodge 264, and the Titusville Lions Club.

Karen enjoyed watching game shows such as Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and the Price is Right, as well as old black and white movies. She enjoyed her flowers, house plants and being surrounded by her family and grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her three children; Bradley Proper of Lake City, PA, Mark Cleland and wife Christina of Titusville, Tara Hepler and husband Dean Jr. of Titusville; her 9 grandchildren, Hunter Hepler, Brooke Hepler, James Connor Jr., Matthew Connor, Jenna, Jewel, Jazmine, Karlie and Joey Wakefield; her father, Donald Shreve of Oil City; three brothers, Gary Dennis of Oil City, Larry Dennis and wife Lorey of Altoona, and Donald Shreve Jr. of Oil City; her sister, Susan Shreve and husband Bill of Polk, PA; her step daughter, Dawn Rumbaugh of Titusville; her step son, Everett Wakefield of Titusville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Shreve; her brother, Steve Shreve; and her two sisters, Sharon Best and Brenda Umstead.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
