Larry J. Moore, Sr., 79, of Titusville, passed away Tuesday morning April 14, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.
Larry was born on December 17, 1946 in Erie, PA, a son of the late James and Cecilia Moore. He was married to Linda L. Tuck on May 27, 1966. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2023.
Larry was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1964. He was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He entered the service on August 26, 1966 in Pittsburgh and was honorably discharged on August 23, 1968 at Ft. Hood, TX.
Larry had been employed at the former Cytemp Specialty Steel Corp. in Titusville until it's closing. He had also served as caretaker of Woodlawn Cemetery for a number of years.
Larry was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW and of the Cleo J. Ross Post 368 American Legion. He was also a member of the Elder Statesmen Golf League as well as a member of the Union City Country Club. Larry enjoyed playing softball and was a member of the men's softball league in Hydetown. Larry enjoyed vacationing at Sumterville, FL during the winter months with his wife Linda for over 14 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Leanne J. Caryl and husband Randy of Pleasantville; his son, Larry J. "Red" Moore, Jr. of Titusville; grandchildren, Wyatt Caryl and companion Keeley, Ashley June and husband Ryan, Josh Caryl, Maria Moore and Molly Moore; step-grandchildren, Amnea and Khalid Abu-Saleh; great grandchildren, Jenna and Jake Caryl; a brother, David Moore of Titusville; sisters, Gloria Blankenship of Titusville and Anita Moore of Pleasantville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife Linda, he was preceded in death by infant sons, Bruce and Michael Moore; a daughter-in-law, Michelle Moore; a brother, Frank Cramer; and a step-brother, Clarence D. "Butch" Kinnear.
A celebration of Larry's life will be announced at a later date.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
