Lee I. Armstrong, 89, of Titusville, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at his residence following an extended illness.
Lee was born on July 27, 1935, in Fauncetown, Troy Twp., to the late Frank L. and Frances Foster Armstrong. He married Charlene Stearns on November 25, 1989, in Orland, FL.
He attended Townville schools.
While still at home, Lee worked on the family dairy farm. He then became a lumber handler and a Minute Man Service Station manager. His final employment was with Labors Local Union #517 in Orlando, FL, where he worked for many years until his retirement.
He was a member of the Resurrection Baptist Church.
In his younger years, Lee was passionate about baseball, golf, and softball. He dedicated his time to coaching Teener League softball in Titusville and Orlando, FL. A fervent Pittsburgh Pirates fan, Lee cherished moments with his family and friends.
Lee is survived by his wife, Charlene of Titusville; five children, Lorraine Burrows and husband Duane of Titusville, Robin Edwards and husband Terry of Titusville, Traci Connolly of Erie, Austin Armstrong and wife Stacey of Titusville, and Shawn Feely and wife Rebekah of Ocklawaha, FL; his grandchildren, Tara Spangler and husband Steve, Josh Burrows and wife Renea, Amanda Lynch and husband Josh, Lee Anthony, Ezra McWilliams, Amber, Austin Jr., and Sarah Armstrong, and Caroline Feely; several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Frank, Duane, Lloyd, Floyd, Ralph, and Boyd Armstrong; a son, Charles Feely; and a son-in-law, Sean Connolly.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 8th, at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Jim Waugh of the Resurrection Baptist Church officiating.
